A lot of interesting dimensions add to the impact of the poem: the varying relationship dynamics between the narrator, her baby, her partner and the paramedics; the concepts of grief and moving on after death, guilt, and loss. As many poems of this genre focus on one aspect in particular about the e...

The first thing that springs to mind is, "This feels like it's straight out of a movie." It's very dynamic, with a lot of tension. The background is kept simple, but gritty and in keeping with the overall mood. I think adding to the background would detract from the picture as well. The shadowy-ne...

sali-chan is DEAD

Say hello to =brontolina.

The name comes from the Italian word brontolo which means "grumpy." Brontolona is a word that refers to a "difficult" woman who complains or argues too much; I guess the closest translation for this in English would be "shrew." I can be a pretty argumentative person and I'm not afraid to counter what others are saying if I disagree. Things also annoy me a lot about other people (I don't think I'm particularly unique in this regard.) In the Italian language, adding -ino/-ina to things makes them diminuitive and/or affectionate. As a feminist, I feel that being outspoken and letting people know what's on your mind shouldn't be deemed unladylike or improper - so converting an insult to a sort of endearment seemed very appropriate to me personally. It also conveys my love of other languages and cultures, which I devote my life and career to discovering.

So there's a little explanation of my name. The reason I changed it is because sali-chan no longer fits who I am. People don't refer to me as "Sali" in real life, and I am no longer a weeaboo like I was back in 2005 - when I was only sixteen years old. I'm now twenty-three and I've obviously changed a lot as a person, but people have nevertheless often made assumptions and associated my username with something that I'm not. Now it's time to acknowledge my existence as someone else.

So far in Legend of Korra we haven't seen much of Avatar Aang, except for a few flashbacks in which he is portrayed as fearsome and powerful. I'd like to believe that the playful, silly Aang was still in there somewhere and this comic is very true to that side of his character. I hope Korra's interactions with Aang's spirit are this funny when they eventually happen.

Hello there! Enchantée. I was born and raised in Britain by my English and Norwegian parents, but right now I live at the foot of the breathtaking Swiss Alps in the French-speaking city of Lausanne. I spend a lot of time travelling, and my friends and family never seem to know where I am! I met my Prince Charming during my first visit to Australia, and we've been crazy in love ever since.

:date:

I love art, but primarily I'm a languages person. I'm in my third year of a Joint Honours BA in French and Italian at Royal Holloway, University of London. At the end of last year, I finished an international relations internship for a renewable energy plant design company in the Lombardy region of northern Italy.

Quite a few... I've had people actually defending themselves being a "furry" or an "attention-seeker," or asking me how I knew about them or if they had an ED article

A furry who try to defend themselves...They might fap to their arts, but tries to hide it. I don't mind them, just the s-p-e-s-h-u-l ones, if you know what I mean. ;) Attention-whores makes me sick.

Why someone gets an ED article?

I appreciate it :happycry: I love it here. I've had some trouble with my studies (mostly an administrative mix-up between my university back in London and UNIL here) but it's beginning to sort itself out now, thank goodness. How're you?
